Welcome Hyperbaric Techs, Managers, Supervisors, and Safety Directors!!!

I want to welcome those that have visited this site, if this is your first time onHBO tech blog I would like to personally welcome you and introduce you to a couple of things this site is meant to accomplish:

1. An open and honest forum focusing on HBO safety and operational conundrums we as HBO techs run into on a daily basis.

  1. An RN with very little HBO experience did not apply the grounding wrist strap to a patient and when she realized it the patient was at treatment depth. She continued with the 2 hour treatment. Was told she saw a tech do the same thing and said it wouldn’t hurt but to avoid doing it. Where can I find education regarding the importance of grounding and what can happen if you do not ground the patient. Thank you
