  1. Actually none of these are good responses to the situation. There are always variables but was it an intentional act of neglect/abandonment? Not implying it was the correct thing to do and certainly disciplinary action is needed.
    How about stepping away from a chamber during movement, which most Hyperbaric Tech’s are guilty of. Isn’t this equally negligent?
    What about pushing/crossing the limits of UHMS guidelines for facility design and chamber placement. Many centers are guilty of this but yet we work in these environments. Is this not also a form of neglect and abandonment of duties?
    Certainly we can all recall scenarios that resemble the situation you are polling, but before casting judgment, remember that circumstances typically always exist.
    Always do what is right and best for the patient…
